Minneapolis Wealth Management
Fiduciary Financial Advisor in Minneapolis
Helping Twin Cities families, professionals (including specialized financial planning for Minneapolis physicians), and corporate executives navigate complex tax structures, coordinate equity compensation, and build comprehensive retirement plans.
Aligned with Your Interests
What is a Fiduciary Financial Advisor?
A fiduciary financial advisor in Minneapolis is a professional legally and ethically bound to act solely in your best interests. Unlike advisors held to a lesser suitability standard, a fiduciary must disclose all potential conflicts of interest and provide transparent, objective advice on wealth management, tax planning, and retirement strategies.
At Quarry Hill Advisors, we operate under this strict fiduciary standard of care. Our objective is to guide clients through the unique financial landscapes of Hennepin County and the broader Twin Cities region. By aligning our advice with your specific goals, we seek to eliminate the product sales pressure often found at traditional brokerage firms, allowing us to focus entirely on your financial peace of mind. Learn more in our guide on why your advisor should be a fiduciary.
The Fiduciary Standard of Care
Operating as a fiduciary means we do not receive hidden commissions or third party incentives for recommending specific financial products. Our advice is designed to help you organize, optimize, and protect your wealth over time.

Corporate Benefits Optimization
Navigating Equity Compensation at Minneapolis Corporate Headquarters
The Twin Cities region is powered by major employers like Target, UnitedHealth Group, Medtronic, 3M, Best Buy, and General Mills. For executives and key professionals at these organizations, including those seeking a financial advisor for Target executives, a financial advisor for 3M executives, or a Medtronic executive financial planner, salary is only one part of the financial equation. Navigating stock options, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and non-qualified deferred compensation plans requires specialized, integrated planning.
We analyze your corporate benefits packages to help design a strategy that addresses concentration risk, seeks to optimize your annual tax brackets, and manages the timing of your equity vesting. Tax-sensitive wealth strategies aim to manage your overall tax liability, although all investing involves risk of loss, and tax rules are subject to change. Explore more in our guide to tax mistakes with RSUs.
Restricted Stock Units & Stock Options
We evaluate vesting schedules to determine how stock options and RSUs integrate with your overall cash flow needs, taking into account both federal tax rates and high Minnesota state income taxes. See our complete stock options guide.
Deferred Compensation Strategy
For corporate executives, participating in non-qualified deferred compensation plans can help manage current taxable income. We analyze enrollment choices and distribution timings to match your future cash requirements. Read our executive's guide to NQDC plans.
Choosing Your Partner
Fiduciary Standards Compared to Suitability Standards
Understanding the distinction between different types of financial professionals is essential to protecting your hard-earned wealth. Not all advisors are bound to the same legal standards. Find details in our financial planner vs financial advisor guide.
| Service Standard | Fiduciary Financial Advisor | Broker / Suitability Representative |
|---|---|---|
| Client Priority | Legally required to always act in your best interests, with no exceptions. | Only required to make recommendations that are suitable for your situation at the time of sale. |
| Compensation Transparency | Fee-only structure, eliminating compensation-related product conflicts. | Can earn commissions, sales charges, or hidden transaction-based incentives. |
| Conflict of Interest Management | Must actively avoid or disclose all potential conflicts of interest. | Conflicts of interest may be permitted if the recommended product is deemed suitable. |
Answering Your Questions
Frequently Asked Questions about Minneapolis Wealth Management
Why Should I Choose a Fiduciary Financial Advisor in Minneapolis?
Choosing a fiduciary financial advisor in Minneapolis ensures your wealth manager is legally and ethically bound to prioritize your financial well-being above their own or their firm's interests. This structure removes the pressure of commission-based product sales, which is particularly important when evaluating local investments, estate plans, and retirement strategies in the Hennepin County region.
How Do Minnesota State Taxes Impact My Retirement Planning?

Wealthtender Certified Advisor Review™
"5 Stars"
I've been a client of Kyle Moore and his firm, Quarry Hill Advisors, since its inception. I was also a client of Kyle's previously before he started Quarry Hill, and I hold him in the highest regard. He is personable, attentive to clients' needs, knowledgable and smart. I particularly like the fact that Quarry Hill adheres to a fiduciary standard in all their dealings with clients. His recently-hired associate, Shelley Austin (who also is a Certified Financial Planner) is likewise a delight to work with. I heartily recommend Quarry Hill.

"5 Stars"
I was seeking a fiduciary in preparation for retirement and so glad I found Quarry Hill. I have been working with Kyle for about two years and he has exceeded my expectations. I expected good investment advice, but Kyle goes beyond that. He has looked at my whole financial life for savings opportunities such as student loans, insurance, mortgage. In all cases, these are not up-sell situations, just good referrals to other professionals. I have upgraded services/products without cost to me while saving hundreds of dollars monthly. Kyle will also entertain any financial question and give you numbers in response if needed. On at least one occasion so far, I know the response was one that lost him revenue personally but benefited me- the true meaning of a fiduciary. I highly recommend Kyle and his business, Quarry Hill Advisors.
